Golf Hounds, Lady Hounds claim home-course win

An early-season win on their home course came the way for the Greyhounds and Lady Greyhounds last Thursday at Lake Jonesco Golf Course with both teams picking up a win against Ace Charter.“We feel really good overall; we had some good things happen,” said Greyhounds head golf coach Lance Pittman.

Lady Hounds sweep; Hounds split

Region matches began last week on the tennis court for Jones County, and both teams found measures of success. The Lady Greyhounds won against Locust Grove and Ola with the Greyhounds splitting.

Aniya Canty’s sophomore campaign at Florida A&M is off to a strong start as she is one of the Rattlers’ offensive leaders. In addition to leading the team in total bases, she is second in batting average, doubles and RBIs. FAMU opens conference play this weekend against Alabama State.
