Jones County Family Connection sponsored its annual Back to School Bash at Gray Station Middle School last week, giving away backpacks and school supplies to Jones County students, so they can start the school year off prepared.

A called meeting of the Board of Education last week ended with the announcement of two new principals for Jones County schools less than two weeks before the start of the school year.

Dennis Woolfolk was named as Jones County High School's new principal and Stacy Carr the new principal of Clifton Ridge Middle School following this afternoon's called meeting of the Jones County Board of Education. Both Woolfolk and Carr were in attendance at the meeting to accept the positions.
