13-year-old Jones Countian becomes author

Luke Deeb, a 13-year-old local Jones Countian, wrote his own book and is ready to show it off to the community. Ashley Deeb, Luke’s mother, said they have lived in Jones County their entire lives, and she’s attended First Baptist Church since she was a baby.

Drug trafficker pleads guilty, gets 30 years in prison

A defendant arrested in 2020 on multiple charges that included drugs and firearms was sentenced to 30 years in confinement following the entry of two guilty pleas in Jones County Superior Court. Dustin James Parham entered the pleas May 25.
