The following information is gleaned from incident reports, which are public record, from the Jones County Sheriff’s Department and Gray Police Department March 8-12, 2023. March 8 Taking the Blame Inv. Hall had Sgt. Carr conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle that had the tag improperly displayed.

The shop is owned by Reson and Aislynn Holt and Amy and Jeff Van Coney. It is located at 4274 Gray Highway, Building 1, Suite A in Gray next to Jane’s Asian Market, and is open Tuesday through Thursday from 3-8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 2-10 p.m.

Redmond pleads guilty to four counts of identity fraud

A Savannah man entered guilty pleas in Jones County Superior Court for charges he received following a traffic accident in the City of Gray. Jaylin Keondre Redmond was in court Feb. 27 to enter the pleas and received sentences of 10 years each for four counts of identity fraud.

BOE hears from student-teachers, athletic director

Jones County Board of Education members heard from the school system’s athletic director and departing student teachers during their March business meeting. The March 14 meeting was called to order by Board Chairman Ginger Bailey.

Gray Fire Department receives funds for car seat safety program

The City of Gray Fire Department recently received a check for $11,019 from the Morris Bank Community Foundation for their car seat community safety project. The donation will allow the department to purchase 50 new car seats and bases to serve Jones County families during times of need.

Jones County Title I teachers excited by results

Sapp pleads guilty, to serve 15 years for trafficking

A Warner Robins man arrested in 2021 for a drug trafficking charge received a sentence of 15 years to serve, following his guilty plea. Michael Roy Sapp was in Jones County _ Superior Court ^ * March 16 to enter his plea.
