Gym Hounds kick off season in meet against Ola

The season kicked off for the Gym Hounds last week as Jones County’s JV and varsity gymnasts began the year by taking part in a meet hosted by Ola. JCHS will compete again at Ola this Thursday prior to a few weeks on a break before a March 8 meet hosted by Lowndes.

Early-season middle school soccer hit the pitch on Saturday with the hosting of the fourth annual Tournament of Roses Tournament.The day included a pair of wins by the Jones County Middle School boys by scores of 2-0 against GMC Prep and 1-0 over Jasper County.
