Calvin McDaniel is the local veteran of the week. He turned 18 in 1942 and joined the Navy as soon as he could. He was in the Air Corps and had basic training in Bainbridge, Md.He was stationed aboard an aircraft carrier in the South Pacific but never went into battle.

M.A.G.S Life Changing Destiny recently held a CPR training class for children, so they could gain the skills to be able to save lives wherever they go.Senesta Roberson, the business owner and CPR coach, said she was happy to help the children learn CPR.
