Bulldogs prepare for Buckeyes The No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs have taken the last three weeks to prepare for the No. 4 Ohio State Buckeyes for their matchup on New Year’s Eve. The two elite teams will meet in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta for the College Football Playoff semifinal Peach Bowl game.

New athletic director named at BOE meeting

The final Board of Education meeting of 2022 ended with the hiring of a new athletic director for the district. The unanimous vote to hire Chad Alligood as the Athletic Director for the Jones County School System filled the vacancy left by the previous director, Barry Veal.

Alligood excited about role as athletic director

At some point in the future, Chad Alligood envisioned swapping being a football coach for the role of being a full-time athletic director. That time, not to mention the opportunity, arrived last Tuesday for Alligood, who was announced by Jones County High School as its new athletic director.
