Greyhounds seek best on-field combos ahead of region slate

The back end of the boys’ soccer season, loaded with matches against region foes, starts Feb. 28 when the Greyhounds play at Hampton and then Woodland on March 4.The time leading into that is key for Jones County, as it works to find the best on-field combinations.

Soccer: Lady Hounds 2-0 after pair of shutouts

The Lady Greyhounds are off and rolling to a strong start to the season, having posted a pair of shutouts.It all began last Tuesday on a rainy night at Greyhound Field as the Lady Greyhounds blanked Jackson 6-0. That was followed up a few days later with Friday’s 10-0 road blanking of Putnam County.
